Thx. Other than the lighting and post process, the main reason will be in these photos we are looking at them at eye level or below eye level^^

I'm not pro^^;

Due to Singapore Kaisu (scare to loss) attitude, a big % of our pet dogs are close to show quality. These poodles are pretty active and enjoy human company, they'll only stay at a spot for a min and will run to me whenever given a chance.:raised eyebrow:

These studio like shots will need strobes or multiple flashes. The tips I can give are;
1. Take photos at eye level so they look equal to human, or take below eye level so they look bigger than human. People just like to look at pets from different angle.
- Đặt Camera ngang tầm mắt của pet để trông chúng to lớn như người, hoặc đặt thấp hơn để nhìn chúng to hơn nữa. Mọi người thường thích nhìn ảnh pet từ các góc độ khác (không giống như chúng ta vẫn thường nhìn pet từ trên cao xuống bằng mắt thường)

2. Use toy, treat and sounds to attract their attention. I like to make fart sound to make them tilt their head side ways.
Sử dụng đồ chơi, phần thưởng, hoặc âm thanh để thu hút sự chú ý của chúng. Tôi thường dùng huýt sáo để làm cho chúng quay đầu nghe ngóng theo nhiều hướng khác nhau

3. Take photos with no expectations. If you dun have expectations, u won't be pressured or tense. The dog can feel ur emotion well, so they'll also be more natural. As long u are fast enough u can get good natural shots of ur dog.
Đừng quá kỳ vọng khi chụp hình pet, bạn sẽ không bị áp lực và căng thẳng. Những chú chó có thể cảm nhận được cảm xúc của bạn, chúng sẽ tự nhiên hơn khi chính bạn thấy thoải mái. Miễn là bạn đủ nhanh tay nhanh mắt, bạn có thể chớp được những hình ảnh rất tự nhiên của chúng.

4. Diffused ur flash, direct in build flash tends to be too bright for pets. They'll close their eyes. U can buy those commercial ones, use tissue paper or those old 35mm flim container and placed infront of the in build flash. This should be ok for most pets.

5. If possible use wide aperture like f2.8 or below, tends to give u lovely portrait shots.
Nếu có thể, thì đặt khẩu mở ống kính càng lớn càng tốt, từ f/2.8 hoặc hơn nữa (mẫu số càng nhỏ thì khẩu mở càng to), sẽ giúp bạn có được nhiều hình chân dung pet rất đáng yêu

For those who fancy taking studio like shots at home with a DSLR, you can try this;

1. Get this diffuser. http://cgi.ebay.com/Lambency-Flash-...ryZ64354QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
The reason for this diffuser is because the effect will be more 3D. If your ceiling is low, take off the cap of the diffuser.
2. Use plain color roller blind fabric as backdrop. (Those curtain like fabric that has 2 layers, color infront and white at back)
3. ISO use 400 to 800, Aperture f6.7 to f8, Shutter 1/125 to 1/180.
4. Use focal length between 16mm to 70mm will be idea.
Optional;
5. Additional light source (Studio strobes or flash) by the sides. Then you can use lower ISO.
6. If don't have light source, use 2 white cloth by the side will help lighten the shots^^

If you have any questions, I'll be willing to share with my limited knowledge. (I'm not a pro, so what I can do is limited)
