Asia for animals Conference 2010

Asia for Animals (AFA) is the largest, most representative Asian animal protection conference.

This dynamic conference is a platform for animal protection experts, members of the public and government officials to consolidate and share experiences, with an eye to developing new strategies and facilitating long-term change.

Since 2001, this biennial conference has each time welcomed over 200 delegates from all across the world. Held previously in Manila, Hong Kong, Singapore, Chennai and Bali, Singapore will once again be hosting AFA in 2010.

AFA Singapore 2010 will be held from the 15th – 18th January at the Furama RiverFront Hotel, and we are expecting more than 300 international delegates to attend the conference.

Asia for Animals 2010 – “Making a long term positive change”, will focus on developing and implementing concrete long-term solutions for ongoing animal protection and cruelty problems.

"A vision without a task is but a dream A task without a vision is drudgery, But a vision and a task is the hope of the world."

The conference theme is in line with this quote - that is, the urgent need for a common vision for the animal protection movement and the development of long-term, concrete steps to take to achieve this vision.

Invitation From Acres

INVITATION FROM ACRES

The importance of the animal welfare movement has become ever more vital in today’s world, in which the exploitation of animals has become a global industry involving billions of animals annually.

Over the past few years, the Asia for Animals Conference has proved to be an invaluable event for all of us who want to make a difference for animals here in Asia. We have learned so much from hearing about each other’s experiences and sharing lessons learned. We’ve shared the highs and low of our work, supported each other, made valuable contacts and priceless friends, and, most importantly, become better prepared and equipped to continue working passionately towards helping the animals.

We look forward to hosting AFA Singapore 2010 and know that it will be a useful platform for the sharing of ideas and solutions, moving us closer to our shared vision of a world where the exploitation of all animals is a thing of the past.

We extend a warm invitation to everyone who cares about animals to attend AFA Singapore 2010 and actively participate in this conference.

We look forward to seeing you in Singapore in January 2010!

Yours sincerely,
The ACRES team
